How to make a reaction video
To make a reaction video, choose a video or image, record your face and voice alongside it, then export the combined result. Reakt brings that workflow to iPhone with picture-in-picture, split-screen and green-screen layouts.
A useful reaction adds something to the original: an explanation, a critique, a personal response or a lesson. Decide what you want viewers to understand before you press record.
Step by step
Choose a clear moment
Use a video, photo or screenshot you have permission to use. Start with a short, focused source so your commentary has one main idea.
Import it into Reakt
Add your source content from your phone and allow the camera, microphone and Photos access needed for recording and saving.
Choose your layout
Use picture-in-picture when the source needs most of the screen, or a stacked or side-by-side layout when both views matter equally.
Record your perspective
Watch the source while recording your face and voice. Explain what you notice and leave enough space for viewers to follow the original moment.
Review and share
Check your voice, framing and timing. Adjust the layout or record another take if needed, then save the finished reaction to Photos and upload it to your chosen platform.
Before you publish
Watch the exported video once with sound and once without it. Make sure your face does not cover the detail you are discussing and that the opening makes sense to someone who has never seen the original.
How Reakt fits
Reakt combines imported source content with your recorded reaction on iPhone. Choose picture-in-picture, stacked, side-by-side or green-screen layouts and export a video you can share.
