How to react to YouTube videos
To create a YouTube reaction with Reakt, start with a video file you own or have permission to reuse, import it on your iPhone, record your commentary and export the combined video. Then upload that export through YouTube.
A YouTube watch link is not the same as a video file. This guide assumes you already have an authorized copy, such as your own original footage or a file supplied by its creator. Reakt is a reaction recorder, not a promised YouTube downloader.
Step by step
Select a focused excerpt
Choose the moment you want to explain or respond to. Keep the original file available on your iPhone.
Import your source into Reakt
Add the saved video and choose a layout that keeps the important action or text visible.
Give viewers context
Introduce the topic and the point you want to make before reacting. Explain unfamiliar references as you go.
Record and review
Record your face and voice alongside the source. Check that viewers can hear your commentary and understand which moment you are discussing.
Export for your YouTube upload
Save the video to Photos, upload it in YouTube and review the title, description, framing and visibility before publishing.
Longer reactions and short excerpts
A longer YouTube video has room for an introduction and a developed explanation. A short reaction benefits from one clear moment and one takeaway. Review your exported framing in the upload preview, especially when repurposing the same recording for a vertical feed.
How Reakt fits
Reakt combines imported source content with your recorded reaction on iPhone. Choose picture-in-picture, stacked, side-by-side or green-screen layouts and export a video you can share.
